Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power... Rev 4:11

HE is Risen

It is pertinent to know as a child of God that you are blessed if you are saved and born again.  Also, it is a great testimony if your name is written in the Book of Life, and if you are not among the cursed.  Hence, never join those cursed from birth as stated in Psalm 58: 3 - 4 to lose your salvation.

In Matthew 3: 7, John the Baptist said to the Pharisees and Sad’ducees, “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?” and advised them in verse 8 to “Bear fruits that befits repentance”, which is the main reason Christ came.

Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in Matthew 12: 33 - 34, called some individuals cursed from birth “brood of vipers”.  Strive not to belong to such group because once The Creator acknowledges you as a brood of viper, then you will have no chance to repent.

Note that Christ went further to call the Pharisees ‘serpents’ and ‘brood of vipers’ in Matthew 23: 32 – 33; do not permit such people to deceive you.

John chapter 17 states the last prayer Christ prayed for his disciples before He was arrested by his enemies.

John 17: 9 says “I am praying for them; I am not praying for the world but for those whom Thou hast given Me, for they are Thine”.   Ensure you maintain your covenant with God.  Because at times you feel weak to pray due to a hectic day, always know that Christ is praying for you.  You should never break yourself away from the bond of Christ because if you pray and God does not answer, then He will surely answer whenever Christ prays.

Christ went further to clearly state in John 17: 12 that none of His children was lost but the ‘son of perdition’ called Judas Iscariot.  This is the major problem of the chief priests and Pharisees – they were not of God, but held key positions in the church, and they went astray.  Note that you will only know these people by their fruits as stated in Matthew 7:15-20.

Matthew chapter 21 tells the story of Christ’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem.

Chapter 22 talks about God’s invited guests who refused and rejected God’s call. This depicts that God can do without anyone as He went to the thoroughfares inviting people to his feast; ensure you answer God if He calls you.  Also, in this chapter, the Pharisees and Sad’ducees tried to entangle Christ in his talk.  Recall that they were church members, but their plan was to destroy the Son of God just as it is in our generation.

In chapter 23, Christ made a great denunciation to the Pharisees calling them names.

Chapter 24 tells us about the signs of the end time.

Chapter 25 narrates the five maidens out of ten who foolishly missed the kingdom of God by losing their given opportunity.  This chapter also talks about the servants who were given talents according to their capacity.  This shows that the master knows all his servants because he gave the hardworking servant five talents, the other, two talents, while the lazy wicked servant was given one talent.  Why did he give the wicked servant just one talent?  Instead of trading with the one talent he went to bury it.  This is a warning to those who backbite in the church, they should desist from infighting.  Also, do not bite the finger that feeds you.

Presently, some government officials are sending police and military personnel not to flog thieves, criminals and kidnappers, but pastors and children of God in the church instead of amicably persuading them to disperse.  If they continue flogging, it should be known to them that they are flogging God, and He will ask them of it. Note that some individuals are used to going to church from birth, so why forcing them to stop harshly, instead of through persuasion?  To the government authorities who have locked down activities, what efforts are you putting in place to ensure citizens do not starve to death? You must answer to this one day!

Matthew chapter 26 is about the last Passover of Christ.  Where are those who persecuted the innocent or Christians such as Pilate, Ahab, Nero of Rome, Herod, Judas Iscariot, etc.?  But God is still on the throne while His son Jesus Christ is the King of Kings.

While Peter and others were seeking Christ’s welfare during the Passover in Matthew 26:14-16, Judas Iscariot who was the treasurer, was busy seeking an opportunity to betray his master.  Everyone should know that God Almighty is our master and should not their position to fight against God’s children.  The most heart-breaking battle is the one an insider initiates after defeating those outside.  Like Judas (chief priest, Pharisees, etc.).  Most of us claim to be Christians but deep down are ravenous wolves.  Some hate God.  Otherwise if you do not hate God, you will not enter God’s house to flog His children instead of going to fight the terrorists or coronavirus.  Despite all the warnings Christ gave Judas yet he refused to repent because he was cursed from birth.

Christ in Matthew 26:50 called Judas ‘friend’ when he came to arrest him, and this shows that if Christ calls you a friend, it does not mean you are a child of God.

It is a great thing to serve God because Christ is the only founder of a religion who was and is blameless and stainless.  No single soul testified against Christ; even Judas (his enemy) confessed in Matthew 27: 4 when he said, “I have sinned in betraying innocent blood”.   Therefore, never be ashamed to serve God, but be proud to worship Him because our Saviour is pure, perfect, holy, and his character depicts that he is greater than man.

Matthew chapter 27 is about his trial before Pilate and his crucifixion.  Matthew 27: 54 shows that the centurion and some soldiers were filled with awe and repented after they saw what took place after his death.  But, the cursed such as the Pharisees, chief priests, did not repent rather they fought Christ to the point of his death.  They went further, calling Pilate their ‘lord’ and Christ ‘the Impostor’ only to please their masters Herod, Pilate and others.  This is the problem because some church leaders are only interested to please those in authority.

The Chief priests and Pharisees also met the government in authority ordering them to secure the tomb by sealing the stone and setting a guard. This they did to deceive people, but were only able to deceive the government.  And it shows the type of relationship between these false men of God and those in authority which are usually not genuine. The real men of God like Prophets Elijah and Elisha do not relate cordially with those in authority because they tell them the truth.  But any so called man of God that makes those in authority best of friends without speaking the truth to them is insane.

It is disheartening to see the so called servants of God in Matthew 28:11-15 trying to bribe and entice people to believe and propagate false news.  This is the cause of major problems in the society, because some servants of God do not stand for the truth.  Despite all they did, there were some who still believed in Christ.

 Matthew 21:12-17

Always pray to God never to be cursed from birth like the Pharisees and chief priests.  Because if they were real servants of God they would have paused and pondered on the following points:

1.     They would have known that the Man whom almost everyone worships and praises is unique.

2.     The chief priests were not unaware of the buying and selling in the temple yet did nothing to stop it. They would have asked, ‘who is this man that has come to cleanse the temple?’

3.     They would have asked why nobody attacked this man when he was overturning the tables of money-changers and seats of those who sold pigeons in the temple, meaning there is a power behind Him.

4.     Those with corrupt hearts will receive no good thing from God because Matthew 5:8 says, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God”. Some are worshiping God, but have no pure heart towards children of God.

5.     It was after the cleansing of the temple that Christ started performing miracles.  Whenever a church neglects serving God in truth and spirit, and starts introducing magic or corrupt practices because of money, the glory of God will depart from such place – like in 1st Samuel chapters 2 and 3.

6.     Matthew 21 verse 15 states, “But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the WONDERFUL things that he did, and the children crying out in the temple, ‘Hosanna to the Son of David!’ they were INDIGNANT”.  Why were they indignant?  Were they not the ones who preached against jealousy and envy?

The aforementioned points will guide you to know if you are a child of God or not.  You must repent if you want everything to be well with you.  The Pharisees, Sad’ducees, chief priests and scribes saw everything that took place from chapter 21 to chapter 28, yet they did not repent.  Salvation is not gotten by being a servant of God, rather it is just by grace through faith in Christ Jesus.

Judas was with Christ for three years and saw all the miracles He performed yet did not repent.  If you have repented and have gotten salvation, you ought not to play with it.  Note that those without salvation will be very jealous of us and they will persecute us as they did to Peter, James and others.  But where are those who persecuted the early Christians?  We still hear the names of Saint Peter, Saint Paul, Saint John, Saint Mary, but nobody has ever heard Saint Pilate or Saint Ca’iaphas.

Never lose your salvation, because some who saw his wonderful deeds never got it.  You who did not see him live but only read about him, ought not to play with your salvation.  Do not be a child of God by mere words.  Do not be a child of God that would end up being destroyed.  Rather, be a child of God that will end up in the kingdom of God to live with Christ forever.

If there are idols in River Niger and other places, then there must be angels of God who dwell in Heaven.

If there are unclean and evil spirits, then there must be clean and holy spirits.

If there are demons then, there must be holy angels.

If there is Satan, there is Christ.

If Satan has a dwelling place, then Christ has a dwelling place.

Note what Proverbs 26: 27 says, “He who digs a pit will fall into it, and a stone will come back upon him who starts it rolling”.

Though, the Pharisees and chief priests succeeded in crucifying Christ, he is still the King of kings and the Lord of lords.  Therefore, there is nothing anyone can do to supress the TRUTH but to build it, and that is the reason we ought to be careful.

Furthermore, Proverbs 17: 13 says, “If a man returns evil for good, evil will not depart from his house”.  We should be careful.  Christ suffered, yet we pay Him back with evil.  Most times we waste time praying because as long as you fight against your Creator, evil will never depart from your house.

Finally, do not forget John 1:9-12 which talks about salvation, particularly verse 12 which says, “But to all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God”.
