Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power... Rev 4:11

You must make plans of how you do things this year

His Grace’s first message in the year 2014

1st January 2014

Topic: You must make plans of how you do things this year

God requires 4 things from us this year, if we desire to be prosperous in 2014.

Point 1 = We must have initiative

Proverbs 16 v 1 {The plans of the mind belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the LORD}

  •   It is the will of God for us to make/have plans, budgets and initiative.  However, no matter how much we plan, it is God’s will that will be done.
  •   We have the right to make many plans, but, what we ought to bear in mind is that if God does not build a house, in vain does the builder build.
  •   It is wrong for a child of God to say that s/he has no plan(s); that God has already planned it all for him/her. This is an untrue statement.
  •   Planning is in your hands. You must have initiative
  •  Plan any and everything you want to do. But, only from God will the answers to our resolutions come.
  •  Everyone, including pastors, leaders and committee members, are to have initiative.  This will help us avoid making mistakes.
  • But after planning, how do you get your plan to work?

Point 3 = Put your plans into God’s hands

Proverbs 24 v 15-16, 23-25 {v15 Lie not in wait as a wicked man against the dwelling of the righteous; do not violence to his home; v16 for a righteous man falls seven times, and rises again; but the wicked are overthrown by calamity. v23 These are the sayings of the wise.  Partiality in judging is not good.  v24 He who says to the wicked “You are innocent,” will be cursed by peoples, abhorred by nations; v25 but those who rebuke the wicked will have delight, and a good blessing will be upon them.}

 Conniving against someone causes problems amongst us. Dissention was one of our problems in various branches last year (2013).  You may be attending vigil and 3rd Saturday Fellowship yet you are against/persecuting a child of God and those who help out in church.  Such a person who persecutes others does not keep God’s words/laws.  Daddy Hezekiah is against persecution of the innocent, false witness and gossip. Therefore if you want to prosper, keep all God’s Words and do not depart from it.

  •  Beware lest someone incite you to persecute the innocent.
  •  Jealousy is one of the things that causes a person to stumble.  Jealousy and hatred brings confusion.  Jealousy is very bad.
  •  If you do not like someone and are jealous of the person, it could affect you.  When you see the person, you may start acting weird or like a mental person.
  •  Do not make plans to pull down someone better than you just because you are jealous or because you do not keep God’s laws.
  •  He supports the wicked and he who persecutes the righteous are both abominations before God.
  • Note that a righteous person may fall seven times but will rise again. But calamity will befall the wicked.
  • You must make plans of how you do things this year.  But there is something you must have to do to make it work.

Point 2 = Do not depart from the Word of God

Proverbs 5 v 7 {And now, O sons, listen to me, and do not depart from the words of my mouth.}

  •  Do not depart from the words from God’s mouth. That is how you succeed in 2014!
  •  If you have made many plans this year, listen to the Voice of God and, do not depart from them (His words).
  •  If you choose to ‘do some and leave some’, it will affect your resolutions.

Proverbs 3 v 1-5 {v1 my son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments; v2 for length of days and years of life and abundant welfare will they give you. v3 Let not loyalty and faithfulness forsake you; bind them about your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. v4 So you will find favour and good repute in the sight of God and man. v5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight.}

  •   We have a right to plan; a right to have initiative.
  •   And, initiative must be ruled by the Holy Spirit. There is nothing we can do (achieve) if God is not with us.
  •   In order to succeed, you must have aim, focus and, plans.
  •   In as much as you have made plans and have focus and aim, you must not trust them.  There is One you must trust for it work.  Check out the ways you erred/failed in 2013 and make resolutions for 2014.
  •   When you acknowledge God, and not trust your instincts/insight, He will prosper your plans etc.
  •   When you obey God, it is your life that you are saving.
  •   Keep God’s laws in your own interest.
  •   Lean on God from this 1st January.
  •   In keeping God’s laws, you are preserving and protecting your life, peace and joy. Remembering to keep God’s Words grantees you length of days, years of life, plus abundant welfare.  God will heal all your diseases.
  •   What do need to do to prosper?

Point 4 = Accept wounds from the righteous

Proverbs 27 v 6, 5 {v6 Faithful are the wounds of a friend; profuse are the kisses of an enemy. v5 Better is open rebuke than hidden love.}

  • The wounds inflicted by a friend is better than the kisses of the enemy – which you do not know what result it may bring about.
  •  Do not speak evil against the church when corrected.  Learn to accept correction.
  • We fail in the little things that will help us make Heaven and be friends with God.
  •  Many Christians do not steal, etc. but, our mouths defile us! The gossip/evil we speak against the innocent in secret annoys God.  Whether you reside in Nigeria or abroad, stop gossiping.

Psalm 141 v 5, 4 {v5 Let a good man strike or rebuke me in kindness, but let the oil of the wicked never anoint my head; for my prayer is continually against their wicked deeds. v4 Incline not my heart to any evil, to busy myself with wicked deeds in company with men who work iniquity; and let me not eat of their dainties!}

  • If you really want to succeed this year, you must be ready to accept correction.
  •  When you condemn an evil thing, you are fighting for God.

The main points from today’s preaching is summarised as follows:-

  • - (1) - Make your resolutions/plans.
  •  - (2) - Do not depart from Daddy Hezekiah’s teachings. Tie them around your neck – it is your life.
  •  - (3) - Put your plans into God’s hands.
  •  Acknowledge God in all your ways, He will make straight your paths.
  •  - (4) - Do not do anything God does not want.  For example, persecuting the innocent/righteous, or destroying a devout child of God with gossip.

 -         Condemn evil and do not exalt the guilty party.

-         Finally, accept wounds from the righteous because it is for your own good and interest.

-         The striking/rebuke from the righteous is mercy for you. But do not let the oil of the wicked anoint your head.

  •  If you keep all these this year, you will receive what God has in store for you.
  •  If you do what God requests of you, according to His will, He will also do what you request from Him –in Jesus’ name, Amen.
